i have 2 pieces of fabric wat can my kids do w/it?

Hey awesome i am a kid and this will be soooo easy because its in a childs perspective!!!!!
-make a table cloth
-design barbie or g i joe clothes
-fold it up and cut out small shapes
-make a bedding for a cage
-make a tent(drap it over some trees and stick in dirt)
-but either cotton or rip open an old toy and get out the stuffing use a needle and thread to close the sides and a bottom part then stuff it an you have a cushion or a small pillow
-color on it and hang it in room or camper or tent
-make a blankie
-color it fold it like a triangle and cut a circle out top and you have a poncho or a shawl!

14 mo old - We bought a child carrier backpack for my first son and that sures makes nature oriented stuff easier. My son loved the pack, and so if we went on a hike he just road along in the pack, the sites alone will keep them entertained for the most part.

At 3 months you can get a front carrier, and tote that one along.

Wherever you camp, scout out the area very well before you let the 14 mo old wander around, make sure there are not any dangerous critters or bushes or whatnot. Have a big tent so they can also just use the tent as a playarea.

Buy a few new toys (don't go overboard) and give them a new toy when you first get there, when they bore of that one, give them another new toy.... depends on the attention span of your child how long this will or if it will work at all. (my 16 mo old this would never work, his attention span is like 3 minutes.)

Keep them busy. Repeat after me....Busy kids are happy kids. Busy kids are happy kids. Busy kids are happy kids.

The best part is that after all of their activity they usually are ready to wind down with a nap, a break for mom! Yay!

Busy activities - park, walk, play in sand, play in water, bath fun, videos, playdoh, craft projects, coloring, painting, baking cookies, cleaning projects, gardening projects, trip to ice cream parlor, sidewalk chalk, jump roap, bike ride, empty and rearrange kitchen cabinets (mine love playing w/ pots & pans and canned goods), McDonald's playland, cooking projects, play with pets, play with giant balls - use blanket like a parachute, have races & relays, play dress up, build tent in living room w/ blankets, camp out in back yard... The possibilities are endless.

Try to plan 2 activities a day and a nap. They should be happy!

How to get more customers to come to your tent?

I just got a job as a face painter at the zoo. I don't know if I can do my own designs or if I have to do certain designs they have already created. Anyway, I will be getting paid $8.35/hour OR 18% of my commission, whichever one is higher. Obviously, if I make more through commission, I can be making like $10.00/hour.

So, what can I do to make more business and attract more people to my tent (kids especially).

I assume the operators have done their part in setting up promotional aids, sample image boards, signs around the zoo if allowed.

One recommendation, if things are going slowly, give a couple away for free to who would act as walking billboards.

Which tent should I choose?

I am looking for a 2-3 person 3 Season backpacking tent.
It should be high quality, water proof, noiseless, no condensate and sturdy against wind. I would also like it to be comfortable for 2 persons, functional to use and not too heavy.
I will use it mostly when hiking on mountains.

I was thinking of investing +-$400 to get a long lasting tent.

The basic criteria for a good three season backpacking tent include: dual walls with full rain fly that reaches the ground OR single wall waterproof/breathable with vents, carbon fiber or aluminum DAC poles, a method of securing the poles to the rain fly (often Velcro), plenty of screens, and a bathtub floor. Other considerations are that a tent with only two poles is obviously lighter than three or more, and lighter materials make for a much better time backpacking.

Of those four tents, I'd dismiss the North Face tent immediately as I've been prejudiced against their products due to their popularity and its reputed effect on quality control. The MSR Hubba Hubba has won awards and is the lightest of the four, but I consider it overpriced in comparison to the Sierra Designs tents, which would be my choice, and is, because I sometimes carry a Sierra Designs Lightning tent which is similar to the Sierra Designs ASP 2 tent, although about a pound lighter, which is my answer to your question. The SD Antares weighs over 7 lbs and thus isn't suitable for backpacking in my opinion.

The ASP 2 is larger than the Lightning 2, both the interior and the vestibule, but for me 4 lbs is the absolute maximum weight for couples UL backpacking, and when my kids are older I plan to switch permanently to use my silnylon tarp or sew a Ray Jardine tarp with mosquito netting. Still, I carry the tent, fly, guy lines, and stakes myself and my wife carries only the poles included her 11 lbs FSO (from skin out) BP weight.

What did you get your kids for christmas? Were the presents from Santa or are you past that?

I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and Santa is bringing them a vanitiy and a tent with elmo stuffed animals. Then they have baby dolls and a doll nursery under the tree from us.
okay revise: My question is what did you get your kids for Christmas? Are some of those presents from Santa and if so which ones?

Santa Claus is part of the "magic of childhood." I don't see anything wrong with how you are doing it. My children get gifts from Santa still - with the oldest 14.

My children also know that Santa Claus means "Saint Nicholas" and That St. Nicholas was a real person - a bishop and the patron saint of children. They know he works for Jesus. St. Nicholas is real, and my oldest children know that their dad and I have continued to do his work to celebrate Jesus' birthday. Only my youngest (age 7) has yet to learn the whole story.

Where can I do court ordered community service hours in Toronto for Theft under 5000 charge?

I have to do community service hours as part of my Diversion Program to get charges dropped for theft. I was wondering where in Toronto that I could volunteer. I have already tried Salvation Army, Goodwill, and all animal shelters, spca,human society, etc, but I was unable because they are for theft charges. I am kind of at a standstill, any advice would be great! ?

How do you tack up with an english saddle?

I ride western, but am going to be working at a camp for deaf kids. The camp helps the kids ride horses. It's an english barn, and I don't know how to put on an english saddle.

It really explains it great, the only thing I would do is make a 'tent' with the saddle pad at the withers. You can do that by (before attaching the girth) taking the front of the saddle pad, the part that rests right above the withers and pull up, so that it is elevated off the horses back. If you don't, it might rub against the back while riding.

Can you give me an itinerary if we will go to disney world for four days in all the theme parks?

Me and my family(mom, dad, 14 yr old,13,10 and 4) are going to disney world. Can you give me an itinerary or tips to fully enjoy or explore all parts of the disney world? We want to avoid long lines. We are going there at the last week of april. Are there too much people? Thank you and God bless.

I would get to a park (whichever one you go to that day) get there early. Most of the day, take your time to see what you want to see, and don't be afraid to stop and enjoy any of the surprises you might come across.

One thing to take advantage of is FastPasses. These are machines that you can put your ticket into and it gives you a time to return to the ride. (Lets say there is a 45 minute wait for Mickey's Philharmagic when you get there at 11:45am. You go to the front of the entrance, and get a FastPass. It might say something like "Return between 1:15pm and 2:15pm". Now when you return in that timeframe you will get into the "FastPass line and probably wait only 5 minutes.) And now you have time to hit some other nearby rides, grab a bit to eat, shop or just sit and relax a bit. These work great.

On the day you choose to go to Magic Kingdom, here are a few tips.
If you ride the monorail, ask to be put into the front. You may have to wait several trips, but it is worth it. The only thing is it only holds 4 passengers, so you might have to split up, just wait for the rest of the party at the other end.

When you enter the park (if you are there for opening) immediately get on the train and ride it all the way to Toon Town (this is in the back of the park.) You wait behind a rope until Toon Town opens and all the characters come out! Goofy may even choose the 4 year old to go ride his Barnstormer Roller Coaster with him. (one child per day is chosen- in 2004 Goofy chose my niece! It was awesome!)

Now you can go through Mickey's house, Minnie's House and the Judges Tent . These are where you get in line and can get your photo taken w/ characters.

I hope you will be doing a character meal while you are there. Loads of fun.

If you don't plan on doing any water parks, I would do one park per day. I like this as opposed to park hopper, where you spend part of the day in one park and then "hop" over to another park for the rest of the day. We usually do one park per day and it works out great.

At MGM, you don't want to miss the Beauty and the Beast show, as well as Rock N Roller Coaster. There are many other things to do there as well, but those 2 are "don't miss".

The 4 year old might not be tall enough for some rides, but many have a "child swap" area. You would all stay in line together until you get near the front, then part of the group gets on the ride while others wait with the little one. When the first group gets off the ride, they "swap" and stay with the child while the rest go on the ride.

At Epcot- you have to go on Soarin'. It is in the Land Pavilion.
Test Track is a lot of fun, too. (again, I am not sure about the 4 year old and any height restrictions.)

Just about any time of year there are lines at Disney World. I would suggest renting a stroller for the 4 year old. (I think you can get a discount if you let them know you want it for all 4 days. You get a different one at every park, but you can prepay or something like that) The stroller will give the little one a chance to rest (little legs get tired quickly as there is a LOT of walking)

Most of all, just enjoy everything you get to see and do. Don't try to do it all because so many people miss a lot by rushing from one ride to the next! Look for the ducks and rabbits in the gardens at Magic Kingdom. Try a ride just for the sake of doing it. (I had never wanted to ride the Teacups because I thought of it as a kid's ride- let me tell you- it is now one of my favorites!)

Take time to do stuff the other people in your family want to do. Remember, it is their vacation, too!!

Don't let the crowds and heat get everyone frustrated. There is nothing worse than seeing people argue in Walt Disney World.
