What is a good quality steel frame tent?

djbeske

My family has long had a Coleman steel framed family size tent. it had 2 large rooms, and we really enjoyed it. Sadly the waterproofing has worn away and we have tried but ultimately failed to reseal it. So now we want to get a new one, but can't find the same kind we had.

Our budget is about $300, but for good quality we will be willing to pay more. We're open to any brands, but Coleman is our favorite. We also prefer the kind that look similar to a cube :)

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Ah the good ol canvas coleman cabin tents to bad they don't make em like that any more. New lighter materials, better fire proofing innovative changes but you can still get Coleman quality in a similar design with their famous stay dry guarantee. Try out this one,

Tent Camp Site East TN?

tent camping with kids in georgia on Camping With Kids Family Tent - The Q Family Adventures Travel Blog
tent camping with kids in georgia image

ichaya

Planning to for family camping somewhere in East TN. We will have family members driving from Atlanta and Lexington KY. We wanted to be somewhere in middle close to water fall, river etc. Since we will have kids so we do not want to camp in very remote area....please advise.

Answer
Since you want waterfalls, here are two suggestions.

My family use to camp at Amicalola Falls in NE Georgia. Have not been in a long time, but you might check it out at http://gastateparks.org/info/amicalola/

Also check Fall Creek Falls, north of Chattanooga TN. http://www.state.tn.us/environment/parks/FallCreekFalls/
The camping is not remote, but the nearest town is Pikeville and is off the beaten path.

One other suggestion is Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They don't have high waterfalls, but it is a great place to camp. Lots of activities.

Living in the wilderness...?

Ethan

I would like to live in the wilderness for a while. I am sick of society and of what this country is becoming. I am going to buy one of those eureka tents and make sure that i have everything that i need. i live in new england.
my questions
Where would you shower/bathe?
how do you wash your clothing?
how do you avoid your stuff getting stolen?
how do you avoid animals/your stuff getting invaded by animals?
where are places that you can just randomly camp for long periods of time?

Answer
Well first of all for a long term camping situation a Eureka tent is anything but ideal, you might as well buy a kids tent from walmart. Secondly, why would you care to shower or bath and wash your clothing if your going to be living in the wilderness by yourself? Are you planning on having neighbors?....who is going to steal your stuff if you are in the middle of nowhere. You stash your food up in whats called a bear bag. You can hike and camp anywhere. Appalachian trail thru-hikers hike from Maine to Georgia, rarely doing a wash or bathing for those 2,000miles in about 6-10 months. If you are asking these questions you probably are not ready to go long term "camping", forget about living in the Wilderness, especially now in December what are you going to eat? Most of the plants are dormant and if you are asking these questions I doubt you know how to trap food.

Can I make a suggestion, one that I made to another person thinking along the same lines as you.... read the book "Into the Wild" it has everything you need to know and need to hear in it. Read it cover to cover before you do anything else.

How do you make an indoor tent?

kids tent over bed on Childrens Bedroom Set: Let Kids Be Kids! - Kids Bedroom Furniture
kids tent over bed image

Luigi fan

I wanna make an indoor tent with my bed cuz my real tent broke and my freind's coming over and we were ganna camp...
Please answer my question!

Answer
"Tents donât necessarily have to go outdoors. You can make a fun indoor tent thatâs collapsible and will give the kids hours of enjoyment. This tent doesnât need any stakes but you will have to have plenty of fabric.
How To Make A Collapsible Indoor TentSheets can be used to make curtains, tablecloths, and yes, even tents.

Consider sheets instead of other material, since theyâre inexpensive and easy to work with, for this project.

Five twin sheets will make an excellent tent. You can purchase fabric, though, in smaller yardage than the sheets, if youâd like a shorter or smaller tent. Working with sheets makes it easier, since you donât have to measure and cut each side of the tent.

Consider how much floor space you can spare for the tent. Remember that the tent is easily collapsible if it needs to be moved in a hurry. Measure out the amount of space youâre willing to give the tent, then cut a sheet or piece of fabric to that size, allowing a couple extra inches on each side for hemming, and making sure to cut the piece in a perfect square. If one end of the sheet is already hemmed, do not add the extra inches for that side.

The square piece, upon being completely hemmed, becomes the top of the tent. Each of the four remaining sheets will become a side of the tent. Stitch the first sheet onto one side of the tent, at the very top edge. Allow the edge of the tent top to barely hang over the top edge of the sheet. Continue this until you have three sides sewn onto the tent. For the fourth side of the tent, cut the sheet in half, lengthways, then hem the cut edges. Sew the sheet onto the tent, making the fourth side, including a doorway. Make tabs and sew one on the top section and one on the bottom section of each sheet edge. These are used to tie the sides shut.

In order to hang the collapsible tent insert four eye hooks into the ceiling. To make the tent collapse out of the way of guests, insert two of the eye hooks next to the top ceiling molding. The four hooks should align with the four corners of the tent top.
String wire through the tent at all four corners. Wad the wire into a ball shape at each end, inside the tent, to keep it from coming out when hung. String the wire up to the eye hooks, making sure to get the tent top level and even. Simply wrap the wire around the eye hook and itâll hang until ready to collapse.

To collapse the tent just undo the front two wires. To remove the tent completely, just remove all four wires from the eye hooks. The tent is easy to hang again, and the kids will have a blast when they play in it."

Where is the best campground for TENT camping in Salida Colorado?

best large family camping tents on ... tent is amongst the best cabin style tents for a family seeking
best large family camping tents image

Shoshanna

Taking a family camping trip with a tent to Salida CO. We would like to do some fishing, hiking and possibly some horseback riding.

Answer
Hecla Junction is a great area to camp near Salida. It is off the main roads and set up against the Arkansas River. The fishing there is great and so is the scenery. It is managed by Colorado State Parks, so there is a fee to stay. The tent pads are large and level. There are also pit toilets which are nice when camping with kids and ladies. If your looking for a whitewater rafting adventure check out the Bighorn Sheep Canyon section of river just downstream of Salida by an hour. It is much more exciting and far less crowded than Browns. It is also great for kids! Have Fun!

Really nervous about our upcoming trip to the beach? Can any of you Moms give me some tips?

kids tents for beach on KoolSun Sunproof UV Protector and Beach Shelter - Large
kids tents for beach image

~CriCkeT~

We are taking our Daughter to the beach for the 1ST TIME! We are SUPER excited, yet super nervous! She will be 17 months old and she is just everywhere! She never sits still, and she can pitch some tantrums! LOL...She has never been this far away from home (12 hrs) and we are just really nervous! Can you please give me some tips on how to make the trip and the drive easier? Thanks!

Answer
Car DVD player and several of her favorite movies or cartoon DVD's

Take plenty of healthy snacks and drinks for her.

Take beach toys- a pail and shovel, some sand toy molds to make shapes with. Pack a few surprise toys for her during the trip in the car. Check dollar stores for simple little things like a small stuffed animal or something she can play with in the car that won't make a mess. Pull them out every so often and let her have one to keep her entertained and happy on the trip.

Schedule breaks at regular intervals for the potty and just to stretch legs, get a snack etc.. You'd be amazed how pulling off the road for 10 minutes will revive you and keep kids happier in the car!

Lots of sunscreen and one of those little canopy tents to sit in for her or a big umbrella you can all fit under on the beach to protect from the sun.

Another thing with beaches- and I'm assuming it is an ocean beach- be careful about the water. Strong under tows can come in fast and be undetected even from a short wade into the water on the shore. If a little one gets caught by one they can be pulled out far into the water and drown. Be sure someone is holding her hand tight if down by the water and don't let her out of easy grasp for a second.

What do you need for a family beach outing?

Josie

I have to keep me, kids and dog entertained - Everything and anything to take to the beach will be a help!!! I already have a picnic, bucket and spade and one of those beach tents.

Thanks
:)

Answer
You need:
- sun-tan lotion so you don't get burnt
- toys (e.g. bucket, spades, ball) to keep the kids and dog entertained.
- swimming costumes/ inflatables etc.
- food to eat and lots of water
- towels/ blankets to sit on

please put me as best answer!

My son likes his scooter and playing frisbee.

(I'm looking for things to add to his Christmas list that I've been asked for...)

Answer
Wagons have been favorites for three of my children (the baby seems to enjoy riding in them, as well). Even my 12 and 10 year olds still play with the wagons. They grow well with the child, and you can find many different styles for various needs.

How about stilts and/or a pogo stick? Those are things we getting this year.

I seem to recall you have a younger child. Those Little Tikes playsets are well worth the value- they are expensive, but again we have one that held up through our oldest child (now 12) and is still in the same condition for our 5 month old to use when he can. And, we got it used!

Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, scooter and/or skateboard (we have one that converts from scooter to skateboard which is nice), bicycle (of course).

Basketball and hoop

Baseball, bat and catchers mitt

Tent

Hula hoops (even for a boy- they can be used for circus pretend play, as part of an obstacle course, etc. For some reason most people seem to think hula hoops are "girl" toys).

Sandbox and sand (you can buy or build the sandbox)

Butterfly nets, critter cages (mine like to catch fireflies, caterpillars, frogs, etc. and observe them for a while and then release them)

Garden supplies- a rake, hoe, shovel and some seeds and a watering can

Sprinklers (depending on where you live, it may not be a good Christmas gift)

Badminton

Tree house

Any Circus themed Birthday Party suggestions?

queenoflif

I am having a combined Birthday party for my son who will be 4 and my daughter who will be 2 sometime towards the end of next month. Any in-expensive suggestions?

Answer
Decorations:

-Set up a circus tent: Swag colorful crepe-paper streamers from the center of the ceiling to the corners and sides of the room, and let them dangle down the walls to look like a circus' big top.
-Place animal posters on the walls at child's eye level.
-Place three Hula Hoops on the floor to make a three-ring performance area.
-Cut two large appliance boxes into cages and paint them with bright colors, or cover them with animal-print paper or cloth. Set your circus cages in the party room with stuffed animals inside.
-Decorate the table with toy clowns, stuffed animals and other circus accessories.
-Play marching music in the background.

this site has some great ideas:
http://www.itsapartyfullife.com/circus_party

maybe Jojos Circus (the cartoon) party supplies here;
http://www.itsapartyfullife.com/circus_party

JOJO'S CIRCUS PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
Upon arrival, give each child a red clown nose and face paint
a flower or rosy red cheeks. Not all children will want to
participate in face painting or wearing the nose...that is just fine!

Considering the age group that JoJo's Circus appeals to,
keep your party games simple and non-competitive.

Trina's Tightrope
Before the party, lightly sand and paint a 2x4 board.
Place it on the ground and have the children take turns
balancing as they walk across. Play fun music while they play.
Everyone gets a sticker when they reach the end.
Children may want to keep this activity going several times.

Pin the Ball on JoJo's Hat
Uh-oh! JoJo has lost the red ball from her hat...can you help her find it?

Cut the hat shape from blue poster board and the circles from
red poster board. Use double stick tape to attach the red
circles to the hat. Play just as you would Pin-the-tail on the donkey.
Blindfold one player at a time. Gently turn them three times and then head them in the right direction ...they will stick the red circles as close to the top of the hat as they can. Tip: Not all kids want to be blindfolded...
let them close their eyes.

Other fun and easy activities:
Twist, turn, stretch and jump to a JoJo's Circus CD
Play follow the leader "Chuga-Chuga Jump, chuga chuga stretch etc..."
Make and catch Giant Bubbles
Color JoJo's Circus coloring pages
Use potatoes, paint and paper to make "Tater prints
Provide the parts from a Mr. potato head toy and
real potatoes for the kids to use.

My family and I are going camping. There will be my husband and I along with three children. We will be tent camping and need some ideas for some easy, yet satisfying snacks. Snacks can be kept in our cooler or dry. We prefer snacks that take little to no preparation. Thanks!!

Answer
That's great you are going camping, we camp every weekend. I usually take things like those p'nut butter sandwhich crackers, smores are great but remember the chocolate melts and so do the marshmallows into one icky mess. Trail mix is good, the kind you make yourself with m&m's, marshmallows, raisins, etc. (keep in cool place). Go-gurt, poptarts, apples, oranges, watermelon and cantelope already cubed. Cheez-it's too.
Do forget to pick up some glow sticks (necklaces) for the kids at night, they love them.

Where in Northwest Florida is the best place to camp including beach, fishing, swimming etc.?

What type of bed should I buy for my son?

kids tent bunk beds on Castle Tent Bed w/Top Tent|Cottage Furniture|Kids Tent Beds|Midwest ...
kids tent bunk beds image

momto2boyz

He is 5 1/2 years old (tall and heavy for his age)
His room is 8ft x 10ft
He is afraid of heights, but has friends that could sleep over and use the top bunk if we decide on a bunk bed.

Any advice?

(his box spring just broke)

:(

Answer
A bunk bed would be nice depending on how well it is constructed. If he is large for his age though changes are that he will always be a larger person. I would say no to the bunk bed as they don't support weight that well (he will likely be a larger person his whole life).

Another alternative is a bed with drawers underneath. I think the official name for this bed style is a "Captains Bed". They are usually pretty sturdy beds and it would be able to support a lot of weight. Before upgrading to a double when we were first starting out me and my fiance slept on a twin size captains bed me, him and my pregnant belly...so I know it can handle weight. Basically it would solve a lot of the storage issues (for example if it has 3 drawers in the bottom you'd likely be able to fit underwear/pj's, shirts and pants. If it all fits you don't need a dresser). I noticed the room dimensions are a bit small when you consider the added furniture.

My motto is keep is simple and uncluttered. The less things that have to go in his room the cleaner his room will stay, the nicer it will look...the more he will and you will enjoy the space. My kids rooms are on the main floor so it's important for me to make sure they stay reasonably clean, so if your place is anything like mine that will be an important factor for you as well.

If friends sleep over in the summer and you have any kind of a yard tents can be a very fun alternative. If you have a room in your home, like a den or even the living room the kids can camp out in there in the wintertime. I did that with friends and it was fun, yes we stayed up late but in our rooms we'd stay up too with our toys we as parents we need to 'bit the bullet' and accept the kids will be up late on a sleep over. If you let them use the living room during the colder months, let them make a fort and have an indoor camp out....lol maybe as a kid I just loved camping but I promise I'm not the only one.

Best of luck =)

Does anyone have a bunk bed? Do you like it? Do your kids enjoy it? ?

sparkles

I bought one the other day and I want to feel good about my investment. I thought it would be a space saver and fun for my kids.
The ladder is actually on each side of the bunk. so there is no ladder hanging off, they will climb up and down the sides.

Answer
they are a great space saver, and great if you have 2 kids sharing a room, or they have a freind for an overnight

A couple cautions: ceiling fans & bunk beds do not mix. I'm a designer and just this summer we had to remove fans from kids rooms cause they got too close.

Also if your kids a restless sleeper, they could roll out of the top bunk. Also make sure the ladder is super secure.

Some fun things to do: tuck sheets or curtain panels under the top mattress to make a "tent" or fort for the bottom bunk. If its for one kid, the top could be solely for sleeping and the bottom banked out with pillows and stuffed animal for playing.

what to pack for tent camping with kids image

I am going to camp in a Yogi Bear campground in a site that says "Water and Electrical Hookup". Does that mean I can use an extension cord with a strip on the end of it that has plugs in it?
I can find lots of info on tent camping on the internet, but nothing that explains electrical hookup. I'm a single mom. I hope I can find a veteran camper who can help me with my camping questions.

Answer
Typically, "Water and Electrical Hookups" are referring to convenient places an RV or trailer can plug in to for power and running water. Chances are, you should be able to plug an extension cord with a power strip for running some electrical items.

I say plan your trip as if the electrical won't be available, but bring a few things that will be helpful in case it is.

A few helpful camping tips:
If there's a firepit, bring a couple Duraflame logs. They last a couple hours, don't take any special gymnastics to ignite, and you can always throw regular wood on after the duraflame is burning. Remember to smother your campfire before you go to bed (Shovel dirt on it, etc).

Bring a stiff rake. Rake out the spot where you're putting your tent(s). This way, you don't end up rolling over onto a rock or acorn.

Please, please, PLEASE, clean up when you're gone. Have your kids walk all over your campsite and pick up every little bit of trash possible. (Also, bring trashbags! Not all campsites have convenient trash receptacles).

Check the temperature ranges in advance, and pack accordingly. It's a very long night when it's freezing cold and you didn't bring the winter sleeping bags. Remember that tents catch fire VERY easily, so don't put the tent next to the campfire, and don't bring electrical or gas heaters into the tent.

Bring fresh drinking water. (Those 2.5 gallon jugs with the convenient spigot are good...)

Bring a medical kit w/ all the usual refinements. Kids will always find a way to get boo-boo's.

I can almost guarantee that you will certainly overpack for your first trip. You'll find that over time you'll be able to whittle it down to the stuff you *really* need, as opposed to the stuff you think you'll need.

If you're with someone who is not a morning person, they will be much worse in the morning. Trust me.

Good luck!

what fun activity/ies can i do with my friends on a weekend as a celebration to my birthday?

i want to go someplace with my friends for either a one day trip or a weekend to celebrate my 19th birthday. i was thinking of something along the lines of hiking, or going skydiving, or going to see some interesting places. (i wish we could go to grand canyon but it is too far, i need something near NY) Does anyone know of any places or activities that i can plan to do on my birthday? I need to plan this by september 22nd.

Thanks to all who will reply.

Answer
Happy Birthday a little early to you. I like the skydiving thing but, just remember it can get expensive. If that is something you want to do you might want to check out these websites:

I would also be sure you ask them about their safety record and maybe do a little âbackgroundâ check on them. You are trusting them with your life after all! It really is a good time, just pick a safe company.

What about going camping for a weekend?? That is always fun, maybe you all could pick a place that has hiking, canoeing and some other activities. OK so it might not be as adventurous as Skydiving, but it can be cheap and fun! You could also find a park that has cabins for rent if you all donât want to do the tent thing. Here are some state parks that have different accommodations:

Allegany State Park

There are so many wonderful places to camp, or stay in cabins you will want to check out this site for more info:
http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/

I donât know who you all plan on taking but, what about doing a day spa thing and then a nice dinner and stay at a hotel? That could be fun. I am sure that a spa somewhere is running a special.

What about going Bungee Jumping?? Almost like skydiving, well kinda! It could be fun take a weekend and combine camping/cabin ect with a little adventureâ¦. I did bungee and I really liked it. I did not do it in NY so I am sorry I cannot tell you about companies but, check out this site it will help you find a place!
http://www.planjam.com/bungee.html

What about going into NYC and site seeing? Donât know if you have done this or not but, it can be fun! Itâs your birthday pick the places you want to see, you want to eat at ect⦠You could also go to Coney Island or the beach those are always good options. What about taking surf lessons??? There are tons of surf shops by the beach that offer lessons. You and your friend could have a great time doing this! Get a place near the beach and have a great weekend!

Go site see at Niagara Falls. Donât know if you have ever been there but, it really is cool. Again you could camp or get a room. There is tons of stuff to see and the falls are just amazing!

Okay now here is a crazy idea, my friends and I for my 20th birthday got together and had a slumber party at one of those indoor kids places, Tumble Drum where I live. You know one of those places that has the indoor play ground. We put together games and we really had a good time. We had pizza and acted like kids for the evening, they had tunnels, slides and more. Yeah they built this place for kids but, this was one of my best birthdays. We had a great time and well for our age it was just crazy!

Speaking of slumber parties you could always have one and do silly games, do something like a driving scavenger hunt those are always fun. Make up a list of things each team has to findâ¦.spread the places out so they have to drive, put a time limit on it and the team to bring back the most wins. Put a time limit on it so your friends come back! Have food delivered; get some good movies you want to see. I know sounds childish but, my friend and I try to do this once a year and we just have a great time!

What about a roadtrip?? Look at a map and find some places you have always wanted to go, map your highways and set out on an adventure, heck don't even find places just pick some highways and go for it! You never know what you will discover and you all will have a great time!

Is there a concert, play or something else you want to see coming in town?? Yeah it might not be on your birthday but, a group of you going to see something you want to see and having some dinner can really be a lot of fun! I guess the best answer for you is be creative, think outside the box, think of things YOU want to do, have always wanted to do and plan it. After all it is your day! I hope this helps you good luck!

Good gift ideas for 1st birthday during winter weather?

Jill P

My son will be turning 1 in October, and I'm trying to decide what to get him for his birthday. I was looking at some ride-on toys, wagons, lil quads, etc, but it will be coming on winter so he wouldn't get much use out of them until the spring. I was also thinking of a small table and chairs. What would be some other good ideas for a 1-year-old that he could get a lot of use out of indoors during the winter? Thanks!

Answer
A baby sled
A pop-up tent or character house for indoor play
A comfy child-size chair (my kids had a Winne the Pooh chair that they loved)

would the world be better off without islam?

totalrecal

and further more would the world be better off without any Monotheistic religions?!

I dont believe in any such thing as a god but it seems to me muslims are always screaming about this and that and so many Muslims can easily be radicalized , lets forget about iraq and afghanistan for a moment, islamic terrorism is still rife in thailand, Philippines, china, uk, india, pakistan, russia. just to name a few

So now it it time to outlaw religion specifically Islam ??

There is no question in my mind the world would not be perfect but it would be a hell of a lot better place without islam. and i know i'm gonna get alot of comments like ''well Christians and Jews did this and that, just proves my point..

Answer
YES 100% ABSOLUTELY. POSITIVELY. MOST CERTAINLY. DEFINITELY. UNDOUBTEDLY .
WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY ....

What follows is a fact not a rant or insult or anything. It is not meant to be so. If you choose to take it like one , that's your fault , not mine. I suggest - you dont read this answer if you feel like an insult or rant etc.
Please point me factual statements that Actually prove me otherwise.
islam was started in a tribal environment where there was'nt even civilization enough to know a family relationship.
Brother and Sister relationship . Parent and Child relationship etc. Brothers raped sisters when they became pubertal and parents raped their children before they grew up in Bedouin tents. During ( and I'd say even after that ) the time islam came into this world - Africa was a lot more civilized. Then come mohammed pai goom bar to spread islam and he tried to preach sense to a savage tribe . But even mr mohammed pai gooooooooom bar was not immune from such deeds. When she was merely 16 yrs he raped a beautiful , innocent virgin called Aliya , who was Jewish. So the starter of the faith was not a pure man. He himself had sinned. C.F this to other Pure Men like Moses or Jesus Christ.
Aliya - She was kidnapped and raped . Women in islam , TILL TODAY when , they get raped , in an islamic country - they have no voice because the presiding judge is an imam. And she needs to have some 10-15 witnesses to testify that she was raped. There is no medical examination of any sort and no logical investigation. WORST come , if she complains and is NOT able to prove that she was raped , she herself becomes a criminal as per islundic law and she gets death penalty - she gets stoned till death in public. THIS IS TILL HAPPENING IN ALL GULF AND AFRICAN COUNTRIES WHICH PRACTICE ISLAM.
IN OTHER WORDS ISLAM IS A FANATIC RELIGION . IT INDUCES A RETROGRADE CULTURE. PEOPLE IN AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY , UNLESS THEY DO AWAY WITH KORAN , THEY BECOME ENSLAVED IN A TRIBAL BOOK , THEY KEEP READING 50 TIMES A DAY.
THERE IS NO SCIENCE , PROGRESS, CULTURE, ART , FREEDOM IN AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY. THERE IS JUST 1 PRODUCT THAT COMES OF ISLUNDIC COUNTRY - TERRORISM AND JIHAD . JIHAD AT ANY COST AND ALL COSTS. ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT IS A DIRECT RESULT OF ISLAM IS POPULATION EXPLOSION. 1 MOSLEM CAN AND WILL MARRY 4 WIVES ( AND IN MOST GULF COUNTRIES THE SHEIKHS HAVE 4 LEGAL WIVES AND 10 ILLEGAL WIVES {FROM YOUNG INNOCENT VIRGINS SMUGGLED FROM RUSSIA, UKRAINE, INDIA AND BANGLADESH } ) . FROM 1 LEGAL WIFE HE HAS 10 KIDS . X 4 = 40 LEGAL KIDS . IF WE ARE TALKING OF ILLEGAL KIDS THEN WHALLA.....ALLAH.....THAT GOES ,..LIKE THE BIN LADEN FAMILY IN 100'S 1000'S. MOTHER EARTH WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCES TO FEED SO MANY KIDS. AND ALL THESE KIDS ARE MENTALLY DEFICIENT BEING BORN PREMATURE OR UNDER INHUMAN CONDITIONS , HAVE DISABILITIES AND BECOME LIABILITIES ON SOCIETIES WHEN THEY ARE TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING OUTSIDE THE KORAN FOR YOU AND YOU HAVE TO KILL THE JEWS, KILL THE CHRISTIANS IF THEY DON'T CONVERT TO ISLAM.THE WORLD POPULATION INCREASES AT THE COST OF STANDARD OF LIVING DECREASING AND DUE TO ITS ANTI WEST APPROACH , IT BECOMES UNITED IN ITS WAR AGAINST THE WHITE RACE & ASIAN RACE ( THAT IS NON ISLAMIC )

E.G.
1) PAKISTAN THE BOILING PIT OF TERRORISM .PAKISTANIS HAVE BEEN PARASITES ON EVERY COUNTRY . START FROM INDIA . GO TO UK. AUSTRALIA . USA . THEY GET BASHED UP EVERY PLACE FOR BEING PARASITES ON THE LAND THEY LIVE IN.
IN ENGLAND THE AVG WHITE MAN FEELS REPUGNANT OF PAKI TOWNSHIPS WHICH SMELL STINK AND ARE FULL OF DIRT AND JIHAD.

2) ALL GULF COUNTRIES WHERE EVERY MAJOR FACET OF TECHNOLOGY THAT THEY HAVE IS IMPORTED THROUGH FROM EUROPE, USA AND JAPAN . TO MAINTAIN THIS TECHNOLOGY THEY HIRE CHEAP CONTRACT LABOR FROM ASIAN COUNTRIES LIKE INDIA, THAILAND, ETC. THESE CONTRACTORS HAVE 'NO RIGHT' IN THE GUL COUNTRIES THEY SWEAT FOR. NO CITIZENSHIP. NOTHING. AFTER 30 YEARS OF STAYING THERE THEY ARE CONTRACTORS. INDENTURED SLAVERY IS THE HALLMARK OF ISLAM.

MY PERSONAL OPINION . CONVERT ALL MOSLEMS TO JEWS OR CHRISTIANS OR ANY OTHER PEACEFUL RELIGION THAT CAN CO-EXIST WITH SCIENCE , RATIONALE AND CIVILIZED SOCIETY. IF THEY REFUSE TO CONVERT , THEN CHARGE THEM EXTRA TAX. THIS IS THE TAX THEY ARE PAYING TO REMAIN MOSLEMS. THEY ARE PAYING NOT FOR REMAINING MOSLEMS BUT FOR THE NUSIANCE VALUE ISLAM CREATES WHEN MOSLEMS EXIST. IF THEY REFUSE TO PAY - SEND THEM TO ALLAH. AGAIN WITH A LOT OF COMPASSION AND LOVE FOR THEM. WHEN THEY ARE SENT TO ALLAH , DROP SOME PLAYBOY PENTHOUSE MAGAZINES AND CONDOMS . THIS IS BECAUSE AS PER KORAN THEY 'LL GET THE BLISS OF 100 VIRGINS AND THESE MAGAZINES WILL HELP STIMULATE THEIR APPETITE. THE CONDOMS , ARE BECAUSE WE DO NOT WANT HIV TO SPREAD TO THE VIRGINS IN THE KINGDOM OF ALLAH ( AND ILLEGAL KIDS AND OVER POPULATION).

Best place to take a vacation with the family to see wild animals?

Arthur kad

We wanna go take a vacation to see wild animals like lions, tigers, buffalo, zebras, elephants, and other animals that live with them where would be the best place to see them wild in one of those jeeps you see on tv? I want it to be clean we're we live but able to see the wild life were gonna be with two family's so we need a big place. Please give me some reccomendations on where to go I'm thinking south Africa but I can be wrong thanks and could someone give me an estimate for 6 adults and three kids please thank you.

Answer
If you go to South Africa you are sure to see Lions, Buffalo, Zebra, Elephant and lots of other animals. If you want to see Tigers in their natural habitat, best bet is to go to India.

Rent a jeep from a car hiring place.

Accommodation places in National Parks are clean. You can book your accommodation to suit your whole party (like the size of bungalo or chalet you will stay in) with the National Park once you have decided on one. If you are more adventurous, and you want to get really close to nature, there are options to camp in tents as well in designated areas that is relatively safe from wild animals.

Kruger National Park is a good one, also Addo Elephant Park. But dont be limited to these. There really are lots to choose from.

If you are looking what its gonna cost you, contact your local travel agent.

Here is just extra information.

How do you tack up with an english saddle?

HorseFreak

I ride western, but am going to be working at a camp for deaf kids. The camp helps the kids ride horses. It's an english barn, and I don't know how to put on an english saddle.

Answer
I found this wonderful video on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2mPoSwBHMc

It really explains it great, the only thing I would do is make a 'tent' with the saddle pad at the withers. You can do that by (before attaching the girth) taking the front of the saddle pad, the part that rests right above the withers and pull up, so that it is elevated off the horses back. If you don't, it might rub against the back while riding.

Good Luck!

What did you get your kids for christmas? Were the presents from Santa or are you past that?

Mommy of L

I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and Santa is bringing them a vanitiy and a tent with elmo stuffed animals. Then they have baby dolls and a doll nursery under the tree from us.
okay revise: My question is what did you get your kids for Christmas? Are some of those presents from Santa and if so which ones?

Answer
Santa Claus is part of the "magic of childhood." I don't see anything wrong with how you are doing it. My children get gifts from Santa still - with the oldest 14.

My children also know that Santa Claus means "Saint Nicholas" and That St. Nicholas was a real person - a bishop and the patron saint of children. They know he works for Jesus. St. Nicholas is real, and my oldest children know that their dad and I have continued to do his work to celebrate Jesus' birthday. Only my youngest (age 7) has yet to learn the whole story.

Christmas is always special in our house - and it's true meaning.

What kind of stuff do I need if I go camping?

amber

I'm planning a surprise camping trip for my boyfriend and I since he's never been. I have to plan early so that I cant budget all the things I need to buy for it over time. I haven't been camping since I was a kid so I forget all the things I'll need to bring. Obviously I need a tent, which I happen to have, and sleeping bags. What else should I bring? Also does anyone know any brands or specific sleeping bags with room for two people, or that can be zipped together? We will be car camping for sure so hauling in stuff isn't a problem, we have a truck. Thank you to anyone to answers :)

Answer
Use a checklist for the gear you need,
http://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/family-camping-checklist.html

Prepare for the season,
http://www.princeton.edu/~oa/winter/wintcamp.shtml

Choose a destination
http://www.totalescape.com/

Make reservations, some destinations get booked six months in advance, like national parks.
http://www.reserveamerica.com/
http://www.recreation.gov/
http://woodalls.com/

Buying camping gear during the off season will be a bit troubling as most places that carry it do so seasonally and what they have will be at full price and in limited quantity. Walmart would be the low price leader for the type of gear you need even though their prices would not be at their seasonal lowest They do have winter rated sleeping bags made by Coleman that would zip together. If you have a truck I suggest a camper shell at the minimum and you could shack up in the back of that. weather being no issue at all then.

What counts as handling with a sugar glider?

Knat

I got a sugar glider 5 days ago, every day when I get home from work I take her out of her cage, but she just goes into my shirt pocket and falls asleep. I understand i'm supposed to spend 2 hours with her a day. I probably spend about 2 1/2 but 1 1/2 of them she is sleeping in my pocket, the other 1 is when she finally wakes up(around midnight) and starts bouncing off the walls. I usually fall asleep around 12:30-1.
Am I spending enough time with her?

Answer
I always tell people to spend as much time as possible with them on you during the day. My goal is to keep them on me for 4 hours while they sleep in the day. At night, at least an hour of playtime.

In reality, the amount of time you are spending with her is okay, but keep in mind this is another 22 hours of the day she is alone. Some lone gliders do fine, but others can get depressed (as I'm sure you've read).

If you want her to be more interactive with you when she's awake, go to target or walmart and get a $25 kids tent. Take in some toys like feathers and some treats, and since the area is small she'll be interacting with you to play and climb around.

HTH :)

How to camp without most camping equipment?

the best tent for camping with a family image

Blaine Sim

Me and the family are going to a family reunion, and most of the family are staying in tents and camping while my family are staying in a cabin. I don't want to stay in a cabin, I want to Bear Gryll my way through the weekend. I don't have a tent, and as far as I know, I don't have a sleeping bag. I do however, have tools essential for a proper camping trip. (machete, cooler, lighter, water bottle, playboy mags, flashlight, filter etc) I would appreciate it if someone could give me some camping/survival tips, or point me in the right direction as far as internet tutorials go, whether it is an article or a Youtube video etc. Although it would be preferred if someone knowledgeable of surviving in the wild would answer my question, and give a detailed, several paragraph answer on the essentials of hardcore survival. (even if I will just be within spitting distance of my cabin, albeit, a very far spitting distance. Like a genetically modified camels version of a spitting distance.)

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Learn to camp with equipment and prepare for any circumstance, then decide how to camp with less.

In my pockets, I always carry a pocket knife and fire starter, tissues or lint packets, along with several bandages in my wallet. Although reception does not exist in many gulches, I carry a cell phone that usually functions above tree-line.

In my daypack, I have compression sacks that hold my down jacket, heat packs, windbreaker, and down mittens or lighter gloves. I carry a second fire starter and two headlamps with extra batteries. I pack trail snacks, such as cheese, nuts, and rice chips. Attached by carabiner, I have at least two water bottles, sunglasses, reading glasses, and global positioning system. On most hikes, I also carry a water filter.

Are there any good camping places to take kids 10-14 in Missouri?

MommaDoo

We want to take our kids who have never camped somewhere family oriented. My husband and I both grew up tent camping.

Answer
We live in the Missouri Ozarks and have 5 children ages 9, 11, 12, and two 14 year olds. Our favorite place to take our family is Alley Springs campground on the Jacks Fork river. It is about 6 miles west of Eminence. It offers plenty of sites, some with electric, hot showers, flat level sites with paved roads for bike riding, and a good swimming hole. About 1/2 mile away is the Alley Springs Mill and spring with two hiking trails, one that goes around the spring area, and then a more difficult one that goes up to a lookout that is above the spring. It is a beautiful place. Hope this helps!

I'm thinking of taking my kids, but the tickets are really expensive. Wondering if the memories would be worth it???

Answer
I definitely remember but it was certainly more of an experience than it is now.It was really a circus then. It was outside, not in a building. Not really outside but in a huge tent which had been erected outside. There was no television when I went & it was really a very special thing. Kids see so much on TV now that a circus might seem tame to them.No that is not so. What could be more exciting for a kid than to see the aerialists flying from trapeze to trapeze. They can't see the elephants & live clowns up close & personal either. One thing I would miss about it would be the freak shows they used to have. I wish they hadn't done away with them. Your kids will also be excited when the animal trainer gets busy with the big cats.Be sure to take along enough money to get them some cotton candy.

How to write a children's book about the six senses?? help please?

Q. For psychology, we have to write a children's book (preschool to kindergarten age) about the six senses (sight, sound, taste, touch, smell, and kinisthesis). I was thinking about doing something about a kid whose family runs the circus. Any ideas on how to make that work? Or any ideas other than that? How could I incorporate the senses into a story? Thank you so much!

Answer
okayyy so i think that you should do the circus!!
because they can HEAR the music and SMELL the cotton candy/popcorn/whatever and SEE the big tent and FEEL the elephant's rough skin and TASTE the circus food!

What are the best and most popular school carnival games?

Amelia

Hi! I'm in charge of my school's carnival for the first time, and the games we've had in the past are growing a little old and tired. Does anyone have any ideas about new and exciting carnival games?

I really want to impress our community with a great selection of games and other activities.

Thanks!

Answer
There's an article titled 34 School Carnival Game Ideas that is really helpful.

Here are two from the article:

The Fortune Teller Booth
We had our school principal dress up as a fortune tellers with bright flowing clothing, a turban, several bandannas, scarves, and lots of jingling jewelry on him. We decorated his office to look like a real fortune tellerâs tent. There was a small table with bright table cloth on it and a couple of chairs. We placed a small lamp with a scarf over it to set the mood, and there was a CD player playing eerie music. On the table was a crystal ball, some playing cards, and a cup and sauce with tea leaves.

The principal read palms, gazed into the crystal ball, and turned playing cards. We had prepared a list of âfortunesâ ahead of time so he had some things ready that he could tell his customers. We made sure that all the fortunes were âgood newsâ.

The principal and the kids really enjoyed the âgame.â We gave (donated) fortune cookies as a treat, and the cookies had messages specially designed for kids. You can order cookies made with your own message(s) if you plan ahead.

Box Maze
We made a box maze and filled an entire classroom with it at our carnival. We collected refrigerator and stove boxes for months ahead of time. We opened several of the ends and then taped the boxes together to form âtunnels.â However, we did create a number of dead ends with boxes that only had one end open.

Keep in mind that very small children may become disturbed if they canât find the end of the maze very quickly, but older children will love crawling through several tunnels within the maze.

What do you think about having a camp out indoors for a toddler playdate?

momoftwo

What kind of things could we do for the camp out? What kind of snacks could I serve?

Answer
Hot dogs on skewers,(make sure the ends are not sharp), s'mores, monster cookies, chips, marshmallows anything else that you would eat on a camp out. You could set up a mini indoor tent, we have one w/ a tee pee and two tunnels that kids climb thru. Get a cheap plastic set of fishing poles and pretend to fish. Lay out sleeping bags, tell bedtime stories. You are only limited by your imagination. Good luck and have fun!!
