A good gift for your kids inflatable bouncer?

Q. A good gift for your kids inflatable bouncer

Answer
We all know that exercise is a tiring task; it can be a common answer for most people. However, people have to exercise for health, so it is important for them to find one or two happy exercising ways. Exercise is not for adults alone, children also need to be input the notion about the benefits of exercise. Nowadays, the problem of children obesity has attracted many peopleâs attention. Parents should encourage their children to flex some muscles and not just spend hours in front of television.

Actually, a real happy child should have fun outside but sit in front of television or computer, while with the fast development of technology; a lot of children are spending too much time on television programs and computer games, which make children forget that the best way to have fun is to jump, run, stumble and get dirty under the sun. Fortunately, inflatable bouncer has come into being; these bouncers are a good way to induce your kids to exercise, as well as have fun. Their life size design can keep your kids healthy and away from baby fats.

Exercise is not for adults alone, inflatable bouncer is also not designed for kids as well. There are many inflatable bouncers available today that can accommodate four or more kids and adults at the same time. It could just be the best way you spend time with your kids, while you can burn some calories yourself by jumping around the inflatable toys . You will find that exercise is such a happy thing that everybody can enjoy. All you need is an inflatable product which can match with full of obstacles and maybe just a hoop. After owning an inflatable bouncer at your garage, patio, or backyard, you do not have to ask your children to go out for play. They will surely play outside and maybe ask their friends coming over to join the fun.

Inflatable bouncer can be the best gift when sending to your kids as an exercise set. You can also choose skateboards, tennis rackets or basketball. But there is no full guarantee that your kids would not feel tired about them. While inflatable bouncer is different, its color is bright, its design is cool, and its toy is attractive, few kids can escape from its great temptation. It is also a good way for kids to burn their baby fats

what to do with kids for free.?

Ok so we have no money to go out and do anything. we currently have cars in the shop so we can't go anywhere. i am a stay at home mom of two young boys under school age. so their home all the time. we go to the park all the time, we have done everything out side , treasure hunts, picnics played sports , went on nature walks build tents. we have also done everything inside. I have no more ideas. I really want their father to do something with them because he is home all weekend but all he does is play black ops. and gets made or gives me excuses when i ask him to do something with them. I have no clue what to do with them, any ideas. I really wish either their biological father or any of their biological family would do something with them . I am just a step-mom and i do it all.
our town libary closes at 12 on saturday , and we are their all the time.
also trust me their have been fights over the xbox. and i have gotten to the pint that i leave just so he has to take care of the kids. and when i come back they are sitting watching him play xbox and they did that the whole time i was gone.

Answer
I don't think you really need idea's on what to do with the kids - from what you wrote it seems you have plenty of idea's on what to do to entertain them. It sounds more like you need a break. It's important to take time for yourself, and you can't "make" your husband do it. Find a trusted friend or family member that will understand and take the kids for awhile. Even just two hours. Then relax and take a hot bath, read a book, whatever it is you'd like to do but haven't had time for. If you don't have anyone to help you (I realize you can't pay a babysitter) - then start talking to other mothers that you see in the park. Develop friendships with them and perhaps you can help each other.

As for the immediate fix this weekend - lots of Independence Day activities going on everywhere. Check online or in the paper. Shouldn't be too hard.

Short of that - I'd say start looking at your relationship. Have you expressed your frustration adequately and he doesn't care? Why not? Is that okay with you?

Good luck hon - and God bless.

Please answer! 10 points! How to decorate pj's and camp tent in a pirate theme?

OH NOES. M

I need to know how to decorate a regular tent (like for camping) in pirates, Like how to make it look like a pirate ship inside and out.

Also, I need to know how to make pajamas look like a pirate outfit. Please be creative and unique, im looking for detailed answers!

This includes creative props (like a parrot) for the pajamas and tent.

10 POINTS TO THE MOST CREATIVE AND UNIQUE ANSWER!!

Answer
ok first... the pajamas.
this may sound weird, but i think it could really work out in the end.
find a pair of brown or maroon/brick red gauchos. or any kind of loose fitting knee length shorts.
you can make this a craft or do it yourself... but cut out long skinny triangles at the bottoms of each leg so they look ragged and worn down.
then you can get any long sleeved white shirt and cut a V at the top... then put some little holes on each side and find brown yarn or a shoelace and tie it back up. put it on with an undershirt underneath it and roll up the sleeves.
now you can make a belt out of house hold items [maybe even a real belt...] and find cheap hats, vests and swords at any costume shop or thrift store.
let the kids run around in their little outfits and once its time for bed they can sleep either in the long sleeve shirt or the undershirt with the gauchos. everything will be made out of cotton so it wouldnt be uncomfortable at all. especially the pants... they are commmfy :]
and the whole outfit can also easily be done by children so that will take a good hour or so for arts and crafts.
overall, the costume will be simple to make but resemble this: http://www.buypiratecostumes.com/yarn_baby_pirate_captain_costume.html

now the tent.
heres an idea: if you use the costume as arts and crafts you can have someone else direct it while you make the tent. so when the kids first get there, all they see is a regular tent. but once they transform into pirates they'll go back outside and it will "magically" become a ship. surprise always hypes up children.
first off you can put the tent on a bunch of blue streamers and have the entrance to the tent have a piece of wood or colored piece of paper sticking out of it [or from underneath it]. so you have an ocean and a "walking plank".
for the outside you can just measure the sides and cut out big sheets of brown paper that you can just tape to the outside. you can decorate the paper ahead of time with wood markings and other cutouts of pirates and maidens and a tower... then tape or glue it on later.
a good thing to do would be to find some REAL paddles and lean them up against the side of the "ship".
at the back of the tent you can put a pole or a broom handle sticking up out of the ground and tie a sheet to it. voila! we have sails!
maybe build a homemade cannon.
anything else on the outside can be your choice.... those are just the basics.
now the inside.
you can get like 10 or 20 sheets of yellow or gold paper and just wad them up in balls and put them in a shoebox or old chest and that can be a little treasure decoration. there can be parrot beanie babies everywhere and some eye patches scattered on the floor. if you want to you can find red or brown bean bags for comfort and give them little bottles of root beer or coke and they can pretend they're pirates drinking rum. unless thats a bit too racy.
you can have a telescope in there somewhere too and some skulls or whole skeletons.

urmmm thats about all i can think of... i hope this helps.
good luck!!

Has anyone here ever driven up through the interior of Alaska to Prudhoe Bay?

Daisy is a

I have a friend who is planning this trip with his four kids...seems like an amazing and insane adventure.

Is it possible? Inadvisable? It will be in June and July.

Any particular dangers they should be aware of? Pardon my naivete, but will it be very cold at night? They are planning on traveling with a tent trailor. Will the polar bears get them? Should he carry a gun? His children are 6, 7, 9 and 10.

I will pass any of your advice along.

Answer
I have done section of that trip, and there is some insanely beautiful
country out there!

Well he should get The Milepost
http://milepost.com/
And do his homework.

Also he will need a good basic car repair kit and more then one spare tire. A tow rope, jumper cables, belts, plugs, air filter, the ability to carry water, and possibly extra fuel. It is a road but you still need to be prepared to care for yourself the entire time you are out there. There will be no emergency response services readily available.

Polar bears are only located in the most northern areas, so it is unlikely he will even see one, let alone be threatened bu one. Black bear and brown bears are found throughout the state. SO he should read up on camping in bear country.
As for the gun, well he can not bring it through Canada if he is driving, and so it would have to be shipped to a licensed dealer in Alaska (Bullshooter in Tok). But I do not recommend caring a gun unless that is something you are well trained for and comfortable with. Especially traveling with kids, unless he is already regularly using it and knowledgeable to travel with it, I would stick to bear spray and a lot of common sense.

It will be chilly at night, but not the 'cold' people associate with Alaska winters.
Here is a bit about the climate in the different regions of Alaska
http://climate.gi.alaska.edu/

Of course if this is the plan, I would hope that they are doing all this research, and are aware of how big Alaska is
http://www.tongass-seis.net/media/tong_USA.html

Will be aware that there are no facilitys or services for miles and miles and miles, and that where there are they are limited and expensive. There is no lodging on most of the trip, and limited seasonal availability. Even in summer there can be road closures and delays, so you need to have enough resources to take care of yourself unassisted for days at a time. Also you will most likely be out of cell phone and internet for most of the trip.

This is something that can be done, but you do need to make sure you know what you are getting into. And do not expect it to be an easy trip. Talk to a mechanic with some knowledge of the road as far as what to bring for your vehicle, you will need to do all your own maintenance and tire changes.

Other thoughts pop to mind:
Be prepared to entertain your kids, there are no stores or amusement parks. Along with cell and internet service I am pretty sure your out of radio range most of the time too.
Watch out for bug game in the road, they won't watch for you. And hitting one will end your trip.
Mosquitoes can be pretty brutal, bring good big dope.

what do my husband and I need to go camping?

KimberlyJ

I haven't been camping since I was a kid. What equipment do I need? I don't want to spend a fortune on camping equipment, but I need to be comfortable. I am five months pregnant and feeling very sick. I think the outdoors would help me quite a bit. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

Answer
#1 most important thing.

Be comfortable.

Pick out a tent at Walmart/Kmart/Target that is large enough for one of those Coleman (or off brand) air mattresses to fit inside it. Twin size at least. The air mattress should come with (you may have to buy it seperate) battery operated blower/pump, to blow it up for you. If it rains...the 6" thick air matress will keep you up off the ground and dry...even if you have an inexpensive tent.

Try to find a shadey spot, wherever you set up your tent. Tents can get hot in the morning with the sun shining on them.

I'd say the rest ...keep as simple as you can. Setting up and taking down your camp should not the a "big" chore. If it is...your making it too hard on yourself.

My favorite time saver? I gotta have coffee in the morning. I don't mess with a perculator anymore. I buy those big pre-made coffee/filter bag things. Drop one or two in a camp pot...boil...coffee! No mess to clean up.

Keep the "camp" part of it simple. You will have more time to relax, explore or goof around.

Just my two cents...

Have fun!

How to be a real motorcycle rider?

kids tent do it yourself on Do It Yourself Pins
kids tent do it yourself image

Seven

Do you remember the first time that you ride on the back of a motorcycle? Do you feel good about yourself on the backseat and still remember feeling of freedom and independence that coursed through you as you move on the road. Maybe it happened when you riding in the back of your parentâs car as a kid, and you saw a motorcycle rider past you on the two-lane highway. For some people, the desire to ride is fueled by simply seeing a motorcycle race, and even just talking to those who have ridden before. However you got your start, it does not matter. You know that you were bitten by the motorcycle bug, and there is no cure.

Chances are if you love to ride, these feelings are more than just a memory to you; they are a part of your soul, coursing through your blood at any given waking moment in your life. In a very real sense, the low hum of the idling chopper or the purr of the engine when it first wakes up is something you hear in your sleep. It is something that really canât be explained or described to someone without having them join you on the back of your bike and going for a ride around town. Many around you would call it an obsession, but you know better. You simply love to ride, and everything that goes along with it.
The feeling you get when you and the motorcycle are roaring down the highway is nothing you can describe or let go. The second step to feel you are a real biker is to find some biker friends and ride with them together. Many single biker women or biker guys always join some local motorcycle clubs or biker gangs. They like motorcycle rally and biker event, since they can enjoy a group riding. If you want to be a real motorcycle rider, you should try you best to join them who are real biker too.

Answer
What a silly question. So will answer it in kind and from a racing perspective since you have posted in the racing section.

I remember the first time one of my kids didn't appear where they should have on a track racing, then looking up and seeing the first aid flag flying. I remember the feeling of seeing the first aid people running towards that part of the track. I remember months of nursing teenagers with two broken arms and split livers, busted collarbones and stitches from slamming into the bars. I remember hoping a plane in a hurry when told one child had dislocated his leg and was in big trouble and then the months in hospital recovering.

I remember going without things so that a new exhaust system could be bought and finding a motorbike in my living room. The house overrun with trophies that need dusting constantly. I remember the night before race day finding hubby and son in the lounge room changing tyres and making a god awful mess doing it and then the mountains of mud encrusted gear to wash after said weekend.

Now older I remember standing at the side of the track watching half hour motos stomach in my throat as my grown child flies by and then with one lap to go and doing well stacks in a flurry of flying soil. Then waiting hand on heart when he didn't get up for over a minute. I remember standing at the medical tent wondering if he was okay and then watching as although injured he needed to go back out and do it all again as he was in the points.

I remember the medical bills and worrying that my child will have to race again in two weeks time knowing he is injured so not fully up to it but he doesn't want to let the team down.

So you are right it is a bug that riders get and cannot give up but it is not all that for many of those around said rider. Would I change things. No as I know just what this bug means to riders but every action has a reaction.

How do you thin birth-order has affected your personality / life?

cattabu

With my kids, I see a huge differences in responsibility & maturity between the first and last pregnancies. And it's not just the age difference because I can remember the eldest child at the age that my younger two (twins) are now... there is a difference. The younger children are much more carefree and far less responsible. But I think that the younger children are more social than the older.

Did you notice a difference in yourself or your children in regards to whether they were born first, last, or middle?

Answer
I don't really like the idea - it seems almost like predetermination! But I can see how it might work, parental time and parental expectations being spread differently upon the children, depending on their birth order.

Among my sisters and I can't see much difference except that I (the eldest) am rather bossy and used to being obeyed.

With my children, my oldest is more serious-minded and introverted than the youngest (who is a total social butterfly). But I don't know how much of that is birth order and the subsequent upbringing, and how much is due to genetic hereditary. The oldest is very much like I was as a child, while the youngest is rather frighteningly like my father-in-law, another social butterfly (and the only child).

I watched an episode of a BBC child development series ('Child of Our Time', highly recommended) in which a psychologist watched a group of adults put up a tent as a team. She then guessed birth order and even sibling sex of the participants. Though 'guessed' is not at all the right word as she was accurate in about 7 out of 10. And she was right about the ones who had only sisters or only brothers too!

So I guess it does influence us, among the other influences in our upbringing.
