camping while pregnant and four kids ?

Q. ok so in august i am taking my batch of four to a lovely campsite in cornwall uk
i will be 6 months pregnant - so pretty big
questions
portable toilets - the campsite does have loo's but as i'm pregnant and have a 3 and 4 yr old boys
are they good, has anyone used them , are they easy to empty ?
camping in my condition - has anybody else camped pregnant ?
airbeds - are they comfy i got ones for the whole family ?
any tips on how to keep warm ? for anyone that lives or has been to cornwall - you'll know that even in summer weather temperamental)
and because my badgering me to do it after some bloke in the pub told him about it - tent sex, we have a 12 man tent so it would not be in front of the kids - there once there asleep , there asleep kinda kids - has anyone done it, is it alright ?

Camping in your condition? YOU KNOW--- listen to your body--you can do just about anything you want! Toilets? Plumbing is great, but sometimes we don't have it. Just take lots of paper to keep clean and don't be afraid of your waste products, it's not that big of a deal. Air beds? YES--comfortable,, remember not to inflate them all the way, go about 3/4, and to KEEP WARM-- be sure to put blankets UNDER you as well as on top. As for having sex in the tent with the kids nearby, I can kind of see it both ways--to some it seems a little uncool, but I remember when my kids were that age--hell, you could drop a bomb in their shorts and they wouldn't wake up! I say---if you keep it just a little quieter than normal, go for it and have fun! Camping Sex in a tent is great and very memorable! A nice little spinoff, no worries about getting pregnant....

any dog friendly holidays? (UK only)?

there's loads, you can rent a dog friendly caravan or a cottage by the sea then take your dog to the beach, let him swim or have a paddle in the sea, throw him a ball on the beach, meeting other dogs, give him a walk on the beach, buy an ice cream and give him a bit, or have a bbq and give him a burger and a sausage =]

or your dog camping, i took mine, we got him a dog tent and a dog sleeping bag although he didn't like his sleeping bag zipped up so he was in it, we had a bbq and gave him a burger, sausage and chicken wing, we also let him join in in our activities, he came on a hike with us, he came swimming with us in the lake and he even came cycling, i brought a little trailer what you add to the back of your bike what little kids sit in and he went in there xD

Should I move to America Fromm the UK?

I am terrified at the thought of snakes and poisonous spiders as even things like earwigs make me shiver in the UK. I really want to go to university/college in the USA. Are there any reassurances or views from Americans which will ease my mind. I actually don't mind the thought of bears or wolves, it's just like snakes and insects. I went to Florida for two weeks and was scared of the ghekos which were everywhere. I just don't know what to do. It has been my dream for a long time to move to America but in Florida, I was on edge all the time. Help please. Thank you xx
I I got an ESTA in July 11 for Florida, I think that is a 2 year one. Not sure. My grandads sister lives in Ohio and my NAND niece lives in Canada. Have I got any hope in moving? Answers are appreciated xx

Not all areas of the U.S. have poisonous snakes and spiders. You'll have more of a problem with that if you live in the southeast or southwest part of the country. I have lived in the Midwest and northeast (New England), and while there are plenty of spiders, they are harmless. They aren't extremely attractive, but they get rid of the little bugs that scare my kids. So now I leave the spiders in my house alone! Also, a few people mentioned gun laws. I agree that some of them are crazy, but keep in mind that not every state has the same gun laws. States like California, Connecticut, and Colorado are much more strict. I have never seen a gun (except on a police officer) or been a victim of a crime in all my 34 years of life here. You're worried about bears and wolves? Animals like that are supposed to be fairly common in Ohio, where I am, but I have never seen one outside of a zoo. The worst I have seen is a coyote and raccoon. Unless you'll be living in a tent in the wilderness, this should not be a concern.

You have more important things to consider if you want to live in the USA. Visa? It's hard to get! You can come here as a student easiest. A lot of people also think that living some where warmer or with beaches is the best thing, but that's not necessarily true. This is a truly diverse country (people, weather, and landscapes) so don't limit yourself to what TV makes you believe it's like.

Whats a good website to find volunteer jobs, similar to the peace corps ?

I want to go to like south America, or third world countries and help people, or do something for a cause. The only thing I know of is the peace corps, but I know there are other options, I just dont know where to find them.

If you use YA's advanced search option for the words "Peace Corps" you'll get some sponsored links. Many will expect you (or your friends and neighbors) to bear some or all of the cost.

The Peace Corps gives you three months of training. You'll learn your host country's language, history, religion(s) and culture, plus get some vocational training. (I learned Malay, Iban and Hokkien, then practice taught for six weeks, under the supervision of a master teacher, for instance.) They provide dental and medical care, a living allowance and some after-service placement counsling. They pay for your air fare over and back. It would not be cost-effective to do all that for someone who stayed on the job for a couple of weeks.

If you want to pay your own way, provide your own medical / dental insurance and already speak the language, there are a number of organizations that will place you for as little as a week. Some people take two-week "working" vacations as volunteers and have a ball. Some don't even require you to speak the language. (Not a problem if you volunteer inside the USA).

My daughter spent a summer with them. You pay for your food and air fare, they loan you a tent. You spend 4-6 weeks doing manual labor in a national park in the USA with a great bunch of other kids. They will take volunteers as young as 16. Your crew chief will be a young adult, and a ranger looks in on you every couple of days.

Are there any camping sites in England that allow alcohol consumption?

Preferably in the north east of England ? Me and some friends want a cheap drinking holiday so we have been looking around and the campsites generally look like they are for people who are just relaxing.
We dont want to be disturbing other peoples fun so I was wondering if there was anywhere we could go

If you go onto a mixed site, with tents and caravans and some have chalets, you'll find that most of them have a bar, a restaurant, and fun things for the kids.
My bit top end fave is way up at the top of Scotland at Cape Wrath.
The campsite bar is the village pub becaause the other option is the community hall with a bar, a long mile up a steep hill away and the next one is on the road to Tongue...but....yeah, that's a nice pub. Brill... If you have a driver who isn't drinking.
That campsite bar can hold 400 and boy does it rock some nights......read the first few lines of the review
