Fun games for the kids?

Kassidy

I'm 13, and the oldest of 7 kids (9, 6, 4, 3, and 3 month old twins). Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I babysit all of them except the twins while my mom is at work.

I need a game I can get them all to play by themselves while I'm around the house doing things here and there. We have tons of toys and games, but they just get bored with everything and end up coming to find me. Something that can work for all ages. Any ideas?

For example, something like school. Jasmin (9) is the teacher and then the other kids are the students. They all love it. Then I'm the principal and pop in and out every so often a I'm cleaning. What are your suggestions?

Answer
When my niece keeps my kids she plays what they call "house games". They do a scavenger hunt inside the house , they also play 'mini match' she has them find matching objects in the house, and even throws in a wild card object (don't have to have a match). The nine yr old could decide on the things for the scavenger hunt and man that (make a list for the six year old, maybe a list of 2 items for the 4 yr old and send the 3 yr old for 1 or 2 items at the time). 'Mini match' is something they can do with no planning. The old standbys: grocery store, library, restaurant (prepare and serve snacks to each other), get them to build a multi room tent together (sheets, chairs) where they each have there own little space but can go to each others space without really leaving the tent. I wish I could think of some more right now. Good luck girlfriend!

* 5' x 3' tent
* Backpack with multiple compartments for storing items
* Coordinating flashlight
* Carabiner compass
* Requires two C batteries, not included
* Model D-EXP4PRN(A)

not much lol okay it came with 2 long poles with string in them and a little top piece.
We have tried 100 times but i am tired of fooling with it this is the 3rd tent we have bought ugggg
please help us:)
Thank you but that didn't work there was no maual or instruction thank you anyways :)

Answer
Locate the tag/information label as to what company manufactured it for Disney. Google that name to get to the web site. Once there, look for instruction manual. If it is listed, you can download it and print it out yourself. If not listed, there is usually a section to ask the company questions.
I had gotten a used 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck that had no owner's manual. I did as I wrote above and was able to print out a complete owner's manual for it.

What can I do to enterian 4 little kids (10 and 9) at a sleepover in a tent??

Answer
uh tell scary stories, tell secrets,

TELL THE STORY OF THE CHUPACABRA AND THE LADY WHO DROWNED HER KIDS

north face trailhead 6 or wynnster hawk 4 or 6?

noches

does anyone know about these tents. I have two kids and dog, and want something durable, comfortable and easy to put up. if you have experience of either please let me know.

Answer
I just purchased a trailhead 6 tent with the same worries about roasting in it. We spent 9 days in the mid 80's and this tent vents really well. The 2005 model has a light grey color which doesn't heat up as much in the sun. It has two mesh windows and each end. A mess dome in the ceiling and the door panels are just huge mesh vents when open. If you don't mind the zipper problem I would highly recommend. The problem with the zippers are the storm flap gets jammed in the sliders constantly. Even the inside doors have a storm flap for some reason. It's hard to get out of the tent sometimes when you are in and the stormflap is jammed on the outside. Until you get used to it.
We put a 5 foot camp table in one sleeping area and queen mattress in other and had room for chairs to sit at table with room to spare. The front vestibule is as large as a small tent lol. We also weathered a really bad T-storm that poured all night. Not one drop of water came in. I seam gripped the floor seam. Most of which is not suspended and lays on the ground. But I didn't even touch the fly it is already sealed up. Even the guyout loops have hot taped squares over them inside.
Hope this helps ya.

My aunt and her family (husband and 4 kids) and myself are planning to go camping in October. My aunt and her family went to Lake Lopez near San Luis Obispo, California and had asked me if I knew any other places to go camping. So does anyone know of good camp sites in California? Her kids are 13 and under so consider a family friendly place with showers and such. Thanks!

Answer
The Redwoods, The KOA in the big Redwoods is a great place for family camping. We camped there and really enjoyed our stay. We went hiking , walked the trails, their was activities for the children, a swimming pool, an arcade room, a convenience store on site, a Beautiful tent site campground, great rv sites, clean shower house,KOA cabins, rv on site to rent,etc etc,

How can I entertain a group of toddlers?

Nicole

I'm 16 and I recently started working in a nursery. I usually have a group of 2 - 4 kids. How can I entertain them without having the just sitting in front of the tv?

Answer
Set up a coloring table
Play play dough
Play children's music ( my 2 year old loves to dance )
Name colors
Have story time
Play dress up ( get them excited about trick or treating)
Have a pots & pans band
Set up a water table/sensory table,
Do finger paintings ( if you have proper coverings )
Make rock pets
For girls play dolls
For boys play trains
Set up a ball pit tent
Make a blanket fort
Make snack time with them, show them how to spread PB on crackers with a spoon
Get magnet letters and numbers and spell out small words

There is so much you can do with children this age :) I hope you liked some of my ideas
