What kind of things could we do for the camp out? What kind of snacks could I serve?

Answer
Hot dogs on skewers,(make sure the ends are not sharp), s'mores, monster cookies, chips, marshmallows anything else that you would eat on a camp out. You could set up a mini indoor tent, we have one w/ a tee pee and two tunnels that kids climb thru. Get a cheap plastic set of fishing poles and pretend to fish. Lay out sleeping bags, tell bedtime stories. You are only limited by your imagination. Good luck and have fun!!

What is your baby of approximately one year of age, give or take a few months getting for Christmas?

i want a toy that my son will actually use lol, because it seems he's only interested in things that he shouldnt have. he will be 14 mths Jan 1st and i was wondering what are some toys he would actually play with?
and what other things have you gotten your 1 year old?

Answer
for my son we got him a rocking horse, some clothes, a puppet, a 'big boy' toothbrush (soft bristled one that's not a finger brush) and various other little things...stacking cups, a booboo bunny, some pjs. we didn't get too much for him because everyone else is getting him a billion things. my relatives have gotten him, so far for christmas, a little mini arm chair from pottery barn kids, a push toy/ride on scooter thing, blocks, a duck that you push along that quacks, a little people car/tunnel thing, a sorting toy, a busy cube, and more things I cannot even think of. when we were thinking about what to get him, I was thinking some sort of musical instrument thing would be cool (melissa and doug makes a good set), books, cars, or a kitchen set (mine is too young for this now, maybe next year though). they make tunnels with tents attached to them, ball pits, and little slides that can go indoors and outdoors, if you've got the space. I don't know if yours likes elmo either, but the elmo live is so neat and even though I don't like noisy toys particularly, my son saw this in the store and lit right up. he loved it, we might get it for him for his birthday.

my son is 10.5 months right now but I've been trying to look for things that will last him until his 2nd birthday. a lot of the toys we're getting say 18+ months on them so he'll be a little young to use them when he gets them and he'll need some help with them but he'll grow into them (and he's got plenty of stuff to last until then). right now he's got a plastic chair cube thing that he loves that he can sit in and a leapfrog learn and groove table that he plays with all the time (I got it recommended to me on here after a woman said her 2 year old still plays with it).

they also make little crayons that have a plastic ball around them so little babies can grab on to them, maybe he might enjoy that?

hope I helped!
