They have an infestation, from what I can see, only on the side of their house, closest to mine. We have tried sprays from lowes, home depot, walmart etc, and are ow turning to an exterminator. What is the cause for them to live there? And what can I tell my neighbors, politely of course, to do to save us!??!?!

Answer
When I was a kid in our house in florida we had a HUGE!!! problem with palmetto bugs, my parents tried everything, exterminators, do it yourselfs, bombs, tent, traps... You name it they tried it. The buggers just kept coming back. They apparantly pick a place not sure why but they find it they like it. Nothing worked until... my dad decided to tear down the walls and redo them on the what was called florida room it was a back room with lots of windows.
We found termites and like a nest of the palmetto bugs, so what they did was set off home bombs and got the house retented after they ripped down the walls pretty much... they had to work from the inside out.
Only reason he ripped down the walls to begin with was remodelling anyways so that is how we found the actual problem it was a good thing we did. You should try to find out a generalized area they are coming from though try to turn em up and kill em. They could be living in the dirt on the outside of your neighbors house even.
